My Role:  

As a Private Wealth Advisor for IronBridge Wealth Counsel, John works to create a level of financial security for his clients that allow them to spend their time and energy on things other than money. 

John specializes in helping young professionals, particularly writers and producers, accumulate wealth as efficiently as possible and soon-to-be retirees secure their financial independence.  

Work History: 

John began his career with Siller & Cohen Family Wealth Advisors, providing comprehensive financial planning and investment advisory services, mostly to high and ultra-high net worth individuals and families. He began in an operations role before progressing to a second chair advisor and ultimately a lead advisor within the firm. 

While there, John developed a particular interest & expertise in working with highly ambitious professionals who were rapidly growing towards high net worth. In 2023, John joined IronBridge Wealth Counsel to build a practice specifically tailored to those clients. 

Where I Come From: 

John was born and raised in Acton, Massachusetts, a suburb about one hour west of Boston. After attending college in Allentown, Pennsylvania, he moved to Westchester, New York to begin his career with Siller & Cohen. 

In 2020, John moved to New York City where he currently resides. John loves exploring the neighborhoods of the city, often on foot. He is an avid golfer and travels north to Mahopac, New York to play virtually every weekend from April to October. John gets home to Massachusetts about once a month to spend time with his parents 


John graduated from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Finance.  

He earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification and also holds his Series 7, Series 66, and Life and Health Insurance licenses. 

My WHY: 

John’s early experience in Wealth Management greatly influenced his passion and vision today. As a young entrant to the business, he time and time again ran into prospective clients who had far less financial clarity and security than their income alone would seem to suggest. He also noticed that, while many of these folks had spoken to an advisor before, most of them hadn’t heard from that individual in years. 

He discovered the importance of making small course corrections as early as possible, which accumulate over time to create massive impact. He also found that by providing a consistent and steady financial education, his clients would be much more likely to stick with these small course corrections and improve their financial wellbeing over time. 

John is committed to engaging proactively and regularly with all of his clients to ensure the planning work that gets done is continuously refined and improved on, maximizing his client’s chances of meeting their financial objectives.

Community Engagement: 

John participates annually in an outing to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis research. He is an active member and participant at Mahopac Golf Club, and loves spending time there.  

At IronBridge, John plans to offer Pro Bono financial planning services to those in need.
