Work History:

My time in the financial planning industry started in 1994, just after graduation.  After spending a few years working with an insurance company, I began my fee-based financial planning practice in 1999 when I affiliated with Lincoln Financial Advisors.

Where I Come From:

I was born and raised in the northwest suburbs of Chicago.  Now living in St. Charles with my wife Amy, and our three boys Drew, Alex, and Will.  Being able to enjoy all four seasons of the year is something we look forward to.  While it would be nice to occasionally avoid some of the sub-zero winter nights, this is home and we love it.

Education:

Jim obtained his Business Administration & Economics degree from Illinois State University.  His professional designations include: Certified Financial Planner, CFP, Chartered Life Underwriter, CLU, Chartered Financial Consultant, ChFC, Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor, CRPC , and Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow, LUTCF.

My WHY:

Will I be oaky?  Will my family be okay?  Can I afford to do the things that are important to me? These are questions that we feel everyone should have clear answers to.  Having the ability and expertise to provide this information is powerful.  It’s a privilege to work with the people that we do, and we are thankful for the opportunity.

Community Engagement:

Supporting both local and national charities is something we feel strongly about.  As a family we have annual discussions regarding the organizations we have connections to, either through the volunteering time or providing financial assistance.  A few of our favorites include Northern Illinois Food Bank, Feed My Starving Children, Anderson Animal Shelter, IRONMAN Foundation, and the Gary Sinise Foundation.
