My Role:
Jim is a Private Wealth Advisor with over 20 years of experience helping clients build and manage wealth, plan for retirement, and accomplish their financial goals. Jim works with families and successful individuals to help them identify their priorities and goals and to build a unique plan designed specifically for their success.
Work History:
Jim began his wealth management practice in 2001 when he joined Lincoln Financial. Prior to that he spent a year backpacking through parts of East Africa, Europe, Australia and Nepal. He started his career in finance at The Travelers in 1992.
Where I Come From:
I grew up in the Boston area and currently live in Narragansett, Rhode Island with my partner, Catalina. I am the proud father of a college senior headed for a career in chemistry.
Education:
I am fortunate to have earned a BS in Business Administration from Bryant University, where I ran track and cross country, and an MBA from the University of Hartford. I obtained the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation in 2006.
My Why:
I have always enjoyed helping others to achieve their goals. As the first member of my very large family to graduate college with a degree in business, I felt responsible for educating my nuclear and extended family on financial literacy and retirement preparation. Over the course of my career, I have had the pleasure of aiding many amazing individuals around me.
Community Engagement:
I have always been very involved with my daughter’s school, as a math tutor, and parent volunteer in the classroom and at rowing races. I am a former town finance committee member, and a homeless shelter volunteer. My partner and I spend time volunteering with the Narrow River Preservation Association, which aims to protect the Pettaquamscutt estuary in Narragansett, RI.
