My Role: 

Jim is a Senior Wealth Advisor at IronBridge and leads the High-Net-Worth division working primarily with business owners and senior executives.  Jim specializes in wealth distribution planning and risk management strategies. 

Work History: 

For over 20 years, Jim has been recognized as a leader in the Wealth Advisory industry.  Prior to joining IronBridge Wealth Counsel, Jim was the founder of D4D Strategic Consulting Group.  Until 2012, Jim had additional responsibilities as the Managing Principal of Sagemark Consulting’s New England Regional Production Office.  Jim is a past Chairman and a Lifetime Member of The Resource Group, an invitation-only nationwide network of the top 200 planners.  He is also a much sought after featured speaker.  

Where I Come From: 

I grew up in Canton, CT from very humble beginnings.  My story and life lessons learned is the basis for my keynote presentation “Donuts for Dinner”.  At the urging of my friends, I am in the process of writing a book highlighting my life’s journey.  I currently live in Windsor, CT helping my wife, Kathleen, run her family farm. 

Education: 

Jim holds an M.B.A. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, a B.A. in Finance from Bryant College, is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner, a Charter Retirement Planning Counselor, and is an original Director of the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils (NAEPC) first virtual chapter.   Jim is also a Certified Ethics Instructor by the CFP Board of Standards, Inc and has testified as an expert witness on ethical behavior by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).  

My WHY: 

My unique abilities allow me to make positive changes in the world one family at a time.  I feel it is my calling and duty to do so.  

Community Engagement: 

I have been chairman of the Town of Windsor’s Economic Development Commission, the Windsor Historical Society, FirstTown Downtown, Windsor International Little League, and was a travel softball coach for the CT Mirage and CT Tigers organizations.  I also hosted my own financial planning television show entitled “Wealth Matters”, and educational program that featured interviews with prominent leaders within the state’s insurance, legal, and investment industry.  In 2015, I was inducted into Canton High School’s Wall of Fame in recognition of outstanding leadership, scholarship, and civic duty.
