David Ellowitch

Private Wealth Advisor | CFP®

My Role:

David’s role as a Private Wealth Advisor at IronBridge is to help people use their wealth to protect their desired lifestyle in retirement and preserve the financial legacy they choose to leave to their family and community.

Work History:

David joined IronBridge in 2022. He started his career in Higher Education Philanthropy, after which he spent 15 years as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM with Ellowitch 3, LLC. As the third-generation member of this firm, he continued his family’s legacy of providing thoughtful advice with the highest ideals of integrity.

Where I Come From:

David was born and raised in New Jersey – about 20 miles west of Manhattan. He attended Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania. He then spent time working in Higher Education in Baltimore and earned his M.S. Ed. from the University of Pennsylvania. He returned to Allentown to work at Muhlenberg in 2005, where he met his wife, Alyssa. They have remained in Allentown, where they are raising two beautiful daughters – ages 8 and 11.

Education:

David is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner; he holds an M.S. in Education from the University of Pennsylvania, and a B.A. in Philosophy from Muhlenberg College.

My WHY:

David is the third generation of his family in the financial services business. When he first came to work in the business, it was surprising to hear many people talk about the long-lasting positive impact his grandfather had on their lives, and the deep connection they felt with him. David combines deep empathy with his ability to derive clarity from multiple pieces of (often conflicting) information in order to help clients chart the best path forward. At its best, this process generally creates a deep bond with those who he serves. David is committed to providing his clients with a profound benefit in the trajectory of their financial lives as a result of their work together.

Community Engagement:

David currently serves on the Chair of the Governance Committee on the Board of CeaseFire, PA -- an organization committed to reducing gun violence in the commonwealth of Pennsylvania. An active alumnus of Muhlenberg College, he has spoken regularly to undergraduates about the importance of making sound financial decisions early in life and serves as the Treasurer of the Muhlenberg College Board of Associates. David is a past president of the Estate Planning Council of the Lehigh Valley, and the Lehigh Valley Consortium of Professional Organizations.
