My Role:
As a Financial Advisor at IronBridge Wealth Counsel, a practicing CPA and small business owner, Cheryl helps entrepreneurs and professionals build clear, confident financial plans that integrate investing, tax strategy, and long-term goals. Her work is centered on helping business owners make smart decisions with their personal finances—especially around retirement planning—so their business success translates into lasting personal wealth.

Cheryl has spent her career working alongside small business owners, supporting them through the financial decisions that shape both their businesses and their personal lives. As the owner of a CPA firm and a business owner herself, she understands the day-to-day realities entrepreneurs face—cash flow, taxes, growth decisions, and the constant pull of reinvesting back into the business. That perspective helps her bring practical, real-world planning to every client relationship.

Work History:
Cheryl has owned her CPA firm since 2004. In 2020, Cheryl established her own RIA and joined IronBridge Wealth Counsel in 2025.

Where I Come From:
Cheryl grew up in upstate New York and attended SUNY Oswego where she graduated with her Accounting Degree. Cheryl worked at Coopers and Lybrand in Syracuse, New York before her and her husband moved to New Mexico in 1997.

Education:
Cheryl earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the State University of New York, College at Oswego. She holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification and is a CPA licensed in New Mexico and Texas. Additionally, she is registered with Series 7, 65, and 63 licenses.

My Why:

Over the years, Cheryl seen too many business owners focus solely on the business while putting their personal finances “on the back burner”. Then, later in their careers, they realize they’re playing catch up—trying to build retirement savings and long-term security in a shorter window of time.

That’s why Cheryl is especially passionate about helping business owners start early and stay consistent—because investing in your personal financial foundation early can create powerful momentum over time. She also believes financial education is one of the greatest opportunities she has to positively impact people’s lives. When clients understand their options and feel confident in their decisions, everything changes.

Community Engagement:
Cheryl cares deeply about supporting and educating her local business community. She enjoys opportunities to teach, speak, and share practical guidance that helps people feel more confident about money—whether they’re just starting out or planning for the next stage.
