My Role:

Brian’s role as a Private Wealth Advisor at IronBridge is helping people use their wealth to remain visible and define their future transition(s), a future they may not know exists. He works primarily with successful people including business owners and senior executives who are ready to define a new role for new possibilities. Brian uses his economics, business, government, and volunteer training and experience to Bring Expertise Beyond Investment Management.

Work History:

For over 40 years, Brian have been engaged with family, friends, and community.  After graduating from University of California, Santa Cruz with a graduate degree in Applied Economics, he started his career as Lockheed’s Corporate Economist, eventually becoming the Chief Contract Negotiator for the Trident I Missile System.  Several years later he choose to focus on his family, working part-time as a business and government consultant.  During this time period, he was also an adjunct professor at Central CT State University and at the University of Hartford teaching Economics and Statistics.  In 2002, he re-entered the small business corporate world and in 2008, landed in what would prove to be a rewarding career as a Private Wealth Advisor.

Where I Come From:

I was adopted as an infant and grew up in a working-class neighborhood in Connecticut.  I watched factories close, high paying jobs disappear, and the impact that it had on families and the community.  That foundation led me to focus my career on helping people protect themselves from adversity and allow them to clear the deck, enjoy life, and to discover possibilities they never knew existed.  I want to make it easy for people to live their greatest life.

I met my biological family in 2020 and that has been a heart moving experience.

I am married to Shelby and have amazing children. My son, Eric, is an Army Combat Veteran and currently works in Cybersecurity. My daughter, Kara, is a Naturopathic Doctor helping people eliminate the core problem of their health issues and live a better life. My stepson, Jake, is a Materials Science Engineer major at Virginia Tech seeking to develop materials to provide people a better life and protect the environment.

Education:

Brian has a Master of Science Degree in Applied Economics from the University of California, Santa Cruz and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from Central Connecticut State College.

Additional education includes flying (Brian is a Pilot), firefighting, family dynamics, youth baseball and soccer, IT, math, statistics, actuarial science, history, education, charity, and the most important training of all, real life.

My WHY:

A few years back, at an alumni hall of fame dinner, a dear friend going back to high school and college looked at me and said, “Imagine what we could have done if we had any positive guidance whatsoever?”

It is my mission to bring that guidance to you and yours, sharing my economics training and experience in business, government, academia, volunteering, and life experiences.

“The best feeling in the world is knowing you mean something to someone.”
