Where Jon Comes From:
Born in Baltimore City in 1968 at John’s Hopkins Hospital, the day after Martin Luther King was assassinated, Jon now resides in Baltimore County with his family of five and two dogs. He is fortunate to have both parents living in the Baltimore area, which allows him time to coach his father on how to use his cell phone and computer, and how to turn on Netflix. Jon is married to Robyn Parks, and they celebrated their 23rd wedding anniversary in August of 2022.
Jon graduated from The Park School of Baltimore, has a B.A. from Franklin and Marshall College, and an M.A. from Rutgers University. He then studied at the College of Financial Planning to receive his Chartered Retirement Plan Specialist (CRPS®) designation in 2014. Jon is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) demonstrating he has met the educational and ethical standards required to fulfill a fiduciary standard of care in providing service in the best interests of his clients.
Having a life-long interest in investing and estate planning, Jon has been driven to make complicated subjects less complex for himself and his clients. The study of markets and economics has been a passion for Jon, allowing him to see the material impact of his work on the lives of clients and their families. Jon feels blessed to have found a career that fulfills his desire for learning and long-term relationships with clients.
Jon is a supporter of the non-profit U.S. Dream Academy after-school program, which focuses on helping children with incarcerated parents.
